Janice Silver

Retired cop, waitress, psychiatrist, nun, elderly prostitute, nosey neighbor. People you might meet in an airport bar?

 

Actually, they are all characters that Janice Silver has played on various shows.

Originally from Milwaukee, a place that she now considers exotic, Janice Silver has lived in New York City for many years.  She feels that if you live in NYC you better take advantage of all the city has to offer. She does! As a graduate of the T. Schreiber Professional Actors Program for Film and TV, Stella Adler, and the Sedgwick Russel acting programs, she is well-trained and ready for anything. She has studied voice for over 20 years and occasionally sings at cabarets around town. Laughing is her number 1 hobby and she has been hired a few times just to laugh. 

 

Wonderful to work with and fun on a set are only some of the reasons that Janice is always very welcome and in demand as a mature actor.  

 

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin and winner of a major hula hoop contest, Janice is available for a variety of roles.
